The Additive Manufacturing Laboratory (AddLab) is located in Towne 187 next to Accenture Cafe. AddLab houses the Mechanical Engineering department’s experimental and high-performance 3D printers. Our primary print methods include Stereolithography, Polyjetting, and Fused Deposition Modeling. Student workers process parts and also assist as consultants for academic course work, laboratory research, and outside groups like the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Prints are run by AddLab staff only.
The Additive Manufacturing Lab aims to support a wide variety of CAD modeling and 3D printing related projects and research both at the University of Pennsylvania and around Philadelphia. We have worked with a large spectrum of groups such as local hospitals, start-ups, and high schools at a range of capacities.
